How do I enroll my child in The Discovery Lounge, Inc Program?
You enroll in the program by completing the online registration on The Discovery Lounge website (www.thediscoveryloungease.com) with the required non refundable $40.00 registration fee per child.
Is the After School Program a structured environment?
Yes. A routine is in place so that on a daily basis the children know what to expect. Upon arrival they enjoy their snack and socialize with their peers, followed by homework help and then they rotate between their chosen clubs (Dance, Music, Drama, Art/Crafts and STEM Challenges enrichment and fun activities
What Is drop-in service?
Our Drop‑In service is designed for families who do not require after‑school care on a regular basis but occasionally need support for a single day. Parents must contact The Discovery Lounge prior to using Drop‑In care to ensure space is available.
Payment for Drop‑In care must be made in advance, unless an unexpected emergency prevents you from picking up your student at your normal time. In those situations, payment will be required at pick‑up.
Drop‑In care cannot be used as a substitute for paying the weekly tuition rate. If Drop‑In usage becomes weekly or consistent, your child will be enrolled in our Part‑Time Care program to ensure proper staffing and scheduling.
How do I pay for the program?
We use automatic recurring debit for care. Weekly payments will post every Friday; monthly payments will post each calendar month. When school is out of session for breaks and closings, we will stop the draft.
If my child misses a day, can he or she make it up?
No. We charge on being in the program and not attendance
How Often Can I change my care plan?
Once you are on a plan, you will have to wait until the next month to make a change. You will not be allowed to change plans every month; you will need to make sure you choose one right for your family.
Does the program offer One on One and Specialized Care ?
t The Discovery Lounge, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for every child. While our team strives to meet the needs of all students, our current staffing structure does not allow us to provide one‑on‑one care or specialized support beyond the scope of our general training.
We recognize that some children may require additional assistance, and we fully respect the importance of those needs. We welcome collaboration with outside agencies, personal caregivers, or support professionals who accompany a child and can provide the individualized care required.
Our goal is to create an inclusive, supportive experience for every family, and we are always open to partnering with those who help ensure each child can participate safely and successfully within our program.
